For me, yoga has made me a better person, now I am a happy person who understands other people. I am open, friendly and I have come to learn how to respect other people’s opinions. Everybody should practice yoga because it makes you relax in your body and in your life. It helps you understand that people do not just give up and also it helps you see that in order to achieve something you have to work hard.

I can really see a change in my students. Since starting yoga they have started speaking up and ask me questions. They are also becoming more responsible and helping out a lot. My students have lots of challenges in life, watching their parents fight, lack of food, clothing, and money, but they keep coming to yoga because we create an environment where we can share our negative  and positive experiences. We share ideas on how we can transform the problems around us.

With doing yoga, it has given me the opportunity to help the women in my community. The chief calls me and asks me to help and so I have been given the opportunity to be a leader.
