Each BPYI in the Streets teacher has been hand picked and personally trained by internationally renowned yoga teacher Baron Baptiste, and AYP organization Director Paige Elenson. The majority of AYP Teachers completed the BPYI Level One Journey into Power Teacher Training delivered by Baron Baptiste in Kenya in 2009. All of the more than 40 active teachers demonstrate an exceptional dedication to the yoga practice, a passion for sharing their experience of personal growth through yoga, and a commitment to contribute to their communities. Each teacher offers the unique story of their personal path to the practice and teaching of yoga, their individual goals and commitments, and their visions for the future.
